Drax AGM Protest: Stop Drax’s Money Tree

✊PROTEST DRAX’S AGM WITH US! ✊
On the 25th of April at 10am, Drax will be gathering with all their shareholders to celebrate how much money they’ve made from burning trees, polluting communities, and ripping off bill payers.
In the last year, Drax made RECORD profits of £1.2 BILLION – £850 MILLION of that was from public subsidies! This is after a year when Drax has once again been exposed for sourcing from primary, rare, old-growth forests in British Columbia, from sourcing from Natura 2000 sites in Portugal and emitting huge amounts of air pollution causing devastating health impacts to environmental justice communities in the Southern US.
It’s an absolute disgrace that this company is destroying our planet, our communities, our forests – and taking our money to do it. Drax is the UKs single largest carbon emitter, and world’s biggest tree burner, and yet receives GREEN subsidies.
We cannot allow this dirty scam to continue for a second longer. The Government is now considering giving Drax £billions more in subsidies for business as usual tree burning and pollution.
